Less than ten miles away from the location this photo was taken others were dealing with the aftermath of a tornado. Many types of large machinery was making quick work of clearing the debris.
Not here. Six horses are doing the work. They would pull the spring tooth harrow across the field then their young handler would let them stop and rest before making another pass. I spoke to him and he said it would take him two days to finish the field.
This is Wayne County. Home of mega farms with state of the art equipment and home to a simpler life as well.
