Yes we have coyotes.
Today something a little different. Its not a photo but a video.
Many people do not know or do not believe there are coyotes in Wayne County. Coyotes are normally nocturnal animals. So the majority of us have never seen one.
They are here and there are more of them than you think.
This short video clip was taken early this year within 200 feet of my home. The “footage” speaks for itself. The coyotes are here.
Under most conditions these animals pose no treat to humans. Small pets and livestock can be another matter. The coyotes also often carry the parvovirus that can be deadly to dogs that become infected.
Coyotes have no natural predator and their numbers are on the rise in Wayne County. If you keep a sharp eye, you may spot this pointy eared canine as you drive our rural roads.
